GalaxyArt held two special topic seminars for students of IFTM
|
|
|
More than 60 higher education students from Macao Institute for Tourism Studies visited the oil painting exhibition “5 a.m.” at GalaxyArt on the 15th and 16th November. These students were doing a course on “Introduction to Cultural and Heritage Management” and “Art Administration and Management” as part of their degree studies, and as proposed by their course lecturer, two special topic seminars entitled “The Difference between a Museum and a Gallery” and “Venue Management” were also conducted. Led by the Gallery Manager, Florence Lam, these seminars allowed students to acquire real-world knowledge and interact with professionals in the field of art administration and management, providing them with valuable insights as they navigate their future paths.
Ever since its opening, GalaxyArt has held regular seminars of relevant topics for students studying specific subjects in various higher education institutes in Macao. We look forward to much more meaningful exchange through these learning seminars, to help nurture and empower the youth through art and culture.

GalaxyArt【5 a.m.】Art Exhibition

Bei Shan Lou chefs present “Golden Bird”, a sugar-coated dessert offering sweet potato, taro, red date, yam & walnut and prepared with their famous “basi” (or candied flossing) technique. The Autumn/Winter dessert is a special shout-out to the iconic “little black bird” in the art exhibition, allowing diners to discover the beauty of both visual and culinary art while enjoying these delicacies.
CHA BEI lifestyle café introduces “Sweet Birdie” cake. The limited-edition dessert mimics the cake designed by the 【5 a.m.】 artist himself, drawing inspiration from the iconic “little black bird” in the artist’s paintings, and offers a unique taste experience for the diners to enjoy!

Snapshots of "The Clumsy Artist – Christmas Special” Workshops
|
When jingle bells rang, GalaxyArt was excited to present "The Clumsy Artist - Christmas Special" children's workshop for our beloved friends and followers. After participating in a children's art tour guided by our young docents, little boys and girls got their hands dirty while boosting their creativity. By mixing acrylic paint and quartz sand and by using different tools, they created their very own texture paintings to take home this Christmas season!

Texture is often used in artistic creation to create the visual, tactile, and even emotional expression of artworks.
Iranian artist Salman Khoshro creates a series of sculptures using wool and faux fur texture. He stacked up these materials and pieced them together on wooden boards to make three-dimensional facial features! The wool is soft and fluffy, which blurs the appearance of the portrait, giving his works a different perspective.
