‘Cross All Borders’ Proudly Presents
‘Sonic Topographies’ Multimedia Music Theatre—Coming Soon!

Step into a playground — where no one asks how high you can climb, how fast you can run, or how far you can fly.
‘Cross All Borders’ proudly presents the multimedia music theatre ‘Sonic Topographies’— a fusion of music, movement, and multimedia art that creates a boundary-breaking immersive experience. Inspired by the idea of a playground, this production redefines freedom and exploration. There are no standard answers here; only personal feelings and unique paths. On stage, performers of diverse backgrounds and abilities co-create side by side. No one is merely a symbol; every individual presence is an indispensable part of the performance. You are not stepping into a purely observational performance, but rather a dynamic, live space of continuous creation and mutual response.
Artistic Director Keith Lam uses installations and visual projections to craft a fluid stage space, transforming the playground into a massive musical instrument. Physical bodies, visuals, and sounds are no longer presented as independent elements. Instead, they interact and co-create in real-time, continuously responding to the live rhythm and energy of the venue —allowing sound to be seen and turning the body into an instrument. Music Director Chris Cheung reshapes traditional folk music and Dishui Nanyin, weaving them together with original compositions. Through the interplay of acoustic instruments and electronic soundscapes, he explores the possibilities of cross-genre fusion with the erhu, constructing a boundless sonic landscape.
Inclusive theatre has been one of our key performing arts initiatives in recent years. This production also brings together a number of ADAHK artists, while providing comprehensive Arts Accessibility Services to ensure that people of all abilities can enjoy the performance without barriers. As we approach the significant milestone of ADAHK’s 40th Anniversary, we are delighted to invite you to participate, enjoy an enhanced theatre experience, and join us in celebrating this meaningful occasion.

ADAM, the social enterprise of ADAHK, has been invited by the Hong Kong Dance Company to participate in the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the HKDance Children & Youth Troupes — Henderson Land presents Family Dance Musical ‘Panda-rama.’ ADAHK artist Jessica Chiu will perform alongside over 400 members from the Children’s and Youth Troupes, as well as professional dancers. Guided by the Master Giant Panda, she gradually develops a deep bond with these overlooked animal companions.
ADAM expresses gratitude to the Hong Kong Dance Company for their invitation and support, which provides a valuable platform for artists with disabilities to showcase their artistic achievements on a professional stage. ‘Cross All Borders 2026’ Movement × Visual Arts Workshop
In late July, ADAHK held the ‘Cross All Borders 2026’ Movement × Visual Arts Workshop at the Xiqu Centre, WestK. Led by contemporary dancer Kingsan Lo and visual artist Jerry Young, the workshop took participants on a creative journey that combined bodily exploration, sensory experience and visual arts.
Inspired by the concept of ‘travel,’ participants explored space and imagination through movement, transforming their perceptions and inspirations into lines, shapes and colours. As the creative process developed, their works evolved from two-dimensional expressions into three-dimensional forms. Using a variety of materials, participants wove together their individual creative traces to create a large-scale collective artwork, showcasing both personal expression and the diverse possibilities of cross-disciplinary art.
This artistic journey encouraged participants to rediscover their relationship with their creative practice. Through collaboration and exchange, they experienced the power of the arts to connect people, spark imagination and inspire resonance.

‘Deaf/Hard-of-hearing Theatrical Interpretation Co-learning Scheme 2026’
Phase 2: Movement and Acting Begins
Deaf and hard-of-hearing participants have successfully completed the first phase of the ‘Deaf/Hard-of-hearing Theatrical Interpretation Co-learning Scheme 2026.’ Through structured learning, they broadened their horizons and built foundational knowledge in Theatrical Interpretation and artistic Sign Language.
As the programme enters its second phase, the focus shifts to movement and acting. Through a series of theatre games and improvisation exercises, participants are encouraged to break away from everyday physical habits, explore the relationship and tension between the body and space, and harness their visual imagination to transform words into expressive and compelling movement. This process will equip them with a stronger foundation for future participation in performances with Theatrical Interpretation.

For the International Arts Carnival 2026 Opening Programme
Starchitects
This year’s International Arts Carnival opened with Starchitects, presented by the UK-based Motionhouse. ADAHK provided Audio Description and a pre-show Touch Tour, enabling audience members with visual impairment to immerse themselves in this magical cosmic journey through a rich multisensory experience.
As part of the Touch Tour, participants and their companions had the opportunity to explore the props and costumes up close. By experiencing their shapes and textures through touch, participants gained a deeper understanding of the performance and were able to connect with characters such as the Moon Fairy, the Lava King and the Green Alien before the show began.
During the show, the live Audio Description brought the performance to life by vividly narrating the breathtaking aerial acrobatics, dance-circus choreography, and digital projections. The visually impaired audience let their imaginations soar as they joined the characters on an adventure from a bedroom straight into the universe.
